Alia and the whale shark

Alia and the whale shark

Alia and the whale shark

As an avid scuba diver this is one encounter I have never had, but now it is off of my bucket list even though one can only snorkel with them. We were with the whale sharks at Isla de las Mujeres. The girl diving down in the video is my 9 year old granddaughter Alia Noor. It took some convincing after she saw their size. We were very fortunate and saw 4 manta rays feeding amongst the 15 whale sharks.

Anchovies in La Jolla, CA

Posted: 11 Jul 2014 06:39 PM PDT

Swam through the massive shoal of anchovies that arrived at La Jolla Shores on Tuesday, July 8th 2014. The anchovies were so thick it literally blacked out the sun underwater. Also got some great clips of leopard sharks hunting through the swarm.

No Justice No Peace Part 2

Protesting in front of the Fullerton Police Dept. Six police officers beat to death a homeless, defenseless mentally ill Kelly Thomas three years and 6 days ago. Three officers were cleared and three were fired but found not guilty in court. Federal charges may still be filed though. This is one of many protests held in Fullerton over the last three years. Up until this last protest, the police had basically left us all alone. During this protest the police got involved even calling a swat team in. Walking down major streets, especially without a permit, was the reason the police got involved. Most left quietly but a few didn't and were arrested. This video was taken by me at the protest, it was the last protest before the verdict came down.

We were all walking down a major street in Fullerton, Harbor Blvd, blocking traffic on one side and stifling traffic on the other side from lookie lou's. Walking to the freeway about two miles away was the plan, but someone nixed that, good thing because we all would have been arrested, that is one busy busy street leading up to Disneyland. The cops ended up coming with the swat team and everyone except a few left. About 12 protesters were arrested for not leaving in a "timely manner".

The last picture is the 3 years standing memorial to Kelly Thomas at the exact spot he was killed.

I quickly left...
