Plastic pollution research boat arrives in Reykjavik today

A plastic pollution research boat with a 14 person international crew is
arrived in Reykjavik today at noon .
The boat is part of the organization 5 Gyres, the only research institute in the world to do plastic pollution research in all five oceanic gyres.
The findings are grim --plastic in every single sample from Bermuda to Iceland.

Thunderstorms Over the Cornfields of Iowa

I was driving back from Wisconsin on June 22, 2014 when I noticed a nice looking shelf cloud approaching from the West. I pulled over onto a side road to photograph the shelf cloud as it passed overhead.

Interesting Pictures of Unknown People

In last two years I have visited several places and in the course of taking snaps for memories sake,pictures of some unknown people too got captured by my camera who were either associated with that place or fellow travelers or just visiting these places.

Honeymoon GTO

This 1968 GTO is a Pontiac I owned when I got married in October of 1968. It was a fun car to drive and offered plenty of excitement! The photos show it when it was all decorated up for our honeymoon. After a couple of years I got rid of it and bought a VW, which was a more practical car for a home owning newlywed. I sometime miss driving this car, but not the amount of fuel it liked to consume!
