Posted: 13 Nov 2011 09:34 PM PST

While some Penn State students demonstrated a great  deal of ignorance in their support for former coach Paterno, other Penn State have proven that they are suportive of sexual abuse victims.

Yellow light for the new "Green Lantern" series

Posted: 13 Nov 2011 08:54 PM PST

While the Green Lantern Animated Series special was good, they have more to show before I consider it on the level of some other classic cartoons like Wolverine & the X-Men and Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

Black In America: The New Promise Land-Silicon Valley Pathway To Indentured Servitude

While the show was entertaining it may mislead entrepreneurs both black or otherwise. In the Internet Age, angel investors are unecessary if you are willing to grow your business organically.

We are simply continuing on the pathway to indentured servitude when we must sit at the table begging for folks generally less capable to decide our faith.

FREE FLU SHOTS FOR THE 99% AT ZUCCOTTI PARK

Posted: 13 Nov 2011 02:00 PM PST

Free flu shots were offered to protesters at Zuccotti Park Sunday afternoon for Occupy Wall Street protesters.

The services were being provided by Physicians For A National Health Program (PNHP) New York Metro Chapter. Dr. Mary O'Brien with Columbia Health Service department and a member of PNHP said the group decided to come out and offer the flu shots as a way to support good health care.

She said every year dozens of Americans go without flu shots and become ill. Because the protesters are in such close quarters (sharing tents), she said they are at a high risk to getting colds and other seasonal infections.

The shots were being given from 2 pm until 4 pm. Anyone visiting the park were allowed to take advantage of the free shots.  PNHP are also at the Park Wednesdays and Thursdays providing shots.  There is a make shaft first aid tent setup to assist with minor emergencies of the protesters.

While the Occupy Wall Street Protest is entering into it's fourth week, with no end in site, many local businesses have started complaining. Business owners say police barricades and some unruly protesters have kept frequent customers and tourist from entering their establishments.

In recent weeks, Mayor Bloomberg has been quiet on asking the protesters to leave the park.  In other large cities, however, like Oakland, California and San Francisco police have had clashes trying to evict protesters from public parks.

Occupy Salt Lake City - Shut Down "Country Men Lend Me Your Ears"

Posted: 13 Nov 2011 12:17 PM PST

One of the Occupy protesters spent most of his evening re-reading this speech over and over.  This was the second time he read it to the crowd, and was addressing Chief Burbank and a few of his officers directly.  At the end a few of the policemen applauded.

Occupy Salt Lake City - Shut Down "The Other Side"

Posted: 13 Nov 2011 10:09 AM PST

As the street was well lined with multiple police cars, vans, buses and mobile command posts there was no visual on the arrested protesters after they were taken into the area of the vehicles.  As I was leaving for the night we had a rare glance of the other side where four of the last arrested were located having pat down searches and chains wrapped around their ankles and waists.  This other view was really eye opening.

Occupy Salt Lake City - Shut Down With 19 Arrested

Posted: 13 Nov 2011 09:40 AM PST

A total of 19 Occupy protesters were arrested when they refused to leave the park. Most went peacefully.  There was a mixture of homeless and actual Occupy Protesters (some of which are also homeless).  At the beginning of the evening all agreed that this was a peaceful movement and if anyone was to get arrested they would go peacefully.  Unfortunately when my daughter and I were leaving we saw the back side of the command unit and spoke with one of the officers.  I thanked him for his service and for how peaceful they had all been, and he said that was the case for the most, unfortunately one or more of the arrested did become overly aggressive and assaulted officers.

In picture number 8 I am not certain the person in the Guy Fawke mask was arrested, he approached the crowd from behind and the police gathered around him very quickly preventing any potential influence on the crowd.

Occupy Salt Lake City - Shuts Down With HEAVY EQUIPMENT

Posted: 13 Nov 2011 09:19 AM PST

They brought in the big guns to tear it all down. Such waste. All of it just wasted away like many of our citizens, wasted away.  The protest was quite peaceful until they arrived onsite with the heavy machinery.  Once that arrived the entire mood in the park became much more agitated and aggressive.

Portland Still Occupied as of 1:00 AM

Posted: 13 Nov 2011 02:58 AM PST

Police did not move on occupiers in Portland at the 12:01 am deadline.  Occupation is peaceful up to now.  Police are here but not in large numbers.  Occupiers are leaving a lot of garbage behind from their occupation.  People on bikes circle the occupied blocks in support.  Thousand showed up in support or just to watch.
